Waves of Winter ~ Discover More & Deepen Your Self-Care This Season
Hi, I’m Ananda, founder of Inmersivas and creator of the Waves of Self-Care, and in this article I’m very happy to introduce you to the Waves of Winter!
I’ll take you through a step-by-step look at what they are, what they look like on the inside, everything that is available, and I’ll also share a few personal notes on how to make the most of them in the best possible way.
When Winter begins… it often brings with it an invitation to slow down, rest, turn inward, look more deeply within yourself, and nurture what is essential… but it isn’t always so simple to understand how to move with this more inward rhythm in a way that genuinely feels good, simple, and possible for us.
And that is exactly what inspired the Waves of Winter: to offer you a space where you can notice how you are feeling, better understand the moment you are living and, from there, choose how you want to care for yourself throughout the season.
Ready to discover your Waves? Let’s begin! =)
What Are the Waves of Winter?
Well, I want to start by explaining what the Waves are…
The Waves are a way to bring more clarity to your self-care, deepen your self-awareness, and help you reconnect with yourself and with nature.
Instead of following a ready-made list of everything you “should” be doing to take care of yourself, the idea is to first notice how you are feeling and what you need in that moment.
From there, you can explore different possibilities, experiment with what makes sense for you, and create a self-care practice that feels more and more like your own.
Each season includes 3 Waves, one for each month, and within each one you’ll be guided through self-observation and self-discovery through:
- quizzes, designed to help you notice how connected you feel to and how you are caring for the themes of the month;
- reflective journals, which help you explore the themes of the month more deeply, with questions you can answer directly in the file and save;
- monthly self-care suggestion lists, created to inspire you;
- in-depth guides on the themes of the month, designed to help you care for yourself and understand yourself more fully;
- and the affirmations and guided meditations available and recommended for that season.
These tools are not simply here to give you more information. They work together to help you notice patterns, desires, needs, and possibilities for self-care that might otherwise go unnoticed in your everyday life.
But how are the themes for each month and season chosen?
Within Inmersivas, the themes are chosen according to different systems and traditions of Eastern Medicine. This means that each season is connected with:
- the elements of the season itself: including its energy, element, corresponding organs and emotion, flavors, colors, and more, most of which come from Traditional Chinese Medicine;
- 1 or 2 corresponding doshas, from the Ayurvedic tradition;
- 1 corresponding phase of the Menstrual Cycle and the Moon, from the tradition of Natural Gynecology;
- 1 or 2 corresponding chakras, from the tradition of Yoga.
Bringing all of these themes together within one season doesn’t mean that you need to do, follow, understand, explore, or connect with everything. Quite the opposite. The idea is precisely that you can explore different paths, have different possibilities available to you, and notice which ones make sense for you, in this moment and during this Winter.
Now I’m going to show you, step by step, each of the elements and themes connected with this season within each of the Waves of Winter.
Let’s go through it together!
Welcome to the Waves of Winter:
Your Waves of Winter begin with 2 videos… the first gives you an overview of how to make the most of your Waves, and the second gives you a complete introduction to the season: what to notice and different ways to explore its themes, invitations, and energy.
After that, you’ll find your 3 Waves for the season, and each one accompanies a different moment in this process:
in the first, you observe and discover;
in the second, you go deeper and make adjustments;
and in the third, you integrate what you’ve experienced and begin preparing for the next season.
This way, you follow a gentle journey of discovery, moving through Winter little by little, noticing the changes in the season and also the changes happening within you.
Ready to discover what each one of the three Waves of Winter is like?
Let’s take a look!
Your 1st Wave of Winter:
The first Wave of Winter will introduce you to all of the themes for the month.
It is recommended for June in the Southern Hemisphere or December in the Northern Hemisphere.
In the 1st Wave guide, you’ll find a step-by-step path to use all of the tools available and recommended for this first month. You’ll always begin with a quiz to see how you are feeling today, then move on to a reflective journal to explore your thoughts and discover new ideas, deepen your understanding through the themed guides, explore the self-care suggestions, and create your own routine based on everything you have learned and discovered about yourself.
The first Wave of Winter invites you to:
- Discover and understand the connections and themes associated with Winter. Then, take the Winter Quiz and notice how connected you feel to the season. After that, open your list of Winter Rituals and write down what you would like to include.
- Open your Winter Journal and set aside a little quiet time to answer the questions for the beginning of the season. They are designed to help you notice more clearly how you are feeling in this moment, what may need more rest, care, and nourishment, and what you would like for this month. If you wish, you can go deeper into your understanding of and self-care during Winter with the Winter Guide. Inside, you’ll find: the organs associated with the season, its element, flavor, color, energy, sound, emotion, food suggestions, self-care, and cyclical planning.
- Then, you’ll be invited to observe the state of your doshas, described in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine, as energetic forces connected with balance in the body and mind. Here, you’ll also find a Quiz, a Dosha Journal connected with the season, in Winter, Kapha, with reflective questions and its corresponding In-Depth Guide, designed to help you better understand this dosha and deepen your self-care (including its functions in the body, signs and possible causes of balance and imbalance, food, self-care, routine, related emotions, care for your environment, and aromatherapy).
- Next, if you menstruate, you’ll be invited to observe and learn more about the Menstrual Phase of your cycle, considered the internal phase that corresponds with Winter within this cyclical framework and whose themes may feel more noticeable during this season, bringing both possibilities and challenges. Here, you’ll find a Quiz to explore your connection with this phase, as well as an In-Depth Guide that includes: perspectives on the phase from Eastern and Western medicine and Natural Gynecology, physical, mental, and emotional self-care, cyclical productivity, food, physical activities, aromatherapy, and affirmations. And if you do not menstruate, you’ll find content about connecting with the corresponding lunar phase, the New Moon.
- And finally, you’ll be invited to explore the balance of the Chakra, one of the body’s energy centers according to Yoga traditions, associated with this season. In the 1st Wave of Winter, this is the Root Chakra, connected with safety, stability, belonging, basic needs, connection with the body, grounding, trust, survival, and fear. You’ll have a Quiz to explore your connection with this chakra, a Journal with questions related to its themes for you to reflect on, and an In-Depth Guide that includes: connections such as element, color, stage of life, purpose, location, actions and themes, signs and causes of balance and imbalance, suggested self-care, adjustments to your environment, aromatherapy, affirmations, and beliefs that may limit its energy.
- To finish, you’ll find a complete Winter Self-Care list to inspire you as you complete your own.
And that’s it. I usually take 1 to 4 days to complete my own monthly Waves, depending on the themes and what my routine looks like at the time. There’s no rush. Every process is unique.
And by the end of this first Wave, the intention is for you to have a much clearer sense of how you are entering Winter, what you need in this moment, what you would like to nurture throughout the season, and which forms of self-care feel most aligned with your own rhythm.
Instead of simply receiving a list of things to do, you begin to create your own path through the season.

Your 2nd Wave of Winter:
The second Wave of Winter invites you to look gently at your process, review what you have already noticed, and go even deeper into the Root Chakra. It is recommended for July in the Southern Hemisphere or January in the Northern Hemisphere.
At this point, you are no longer at the beginning of Winter. You’ve already had some time to observe yourself, slow down, experiment with new forms of care, notice what worked for you, what has changed, and what may need some adjustment.
So the second Wave of Winter arrives inviting you to:
- Retake some of the quizzes and reflect on changes, discoveries, and needs that have become clearer throughout the first few weeks of the season.
- Return to the Root Chakra and go even deeper into its themes. Unlike the other seasons, Winter focuses on a single chakra, precisely because the Root Chakra represents our foundations and very important themes such as safety, stability, belonging, basic needs, connection with the body, grounding, trust, survival, and fear. In this second Wave, you’ll be invited to review your answers, notice again how connected you feel with this chakra, and go deeper into whatever may need more attention. You can return to the Quiz, the Journal with reflective questions, and the In-Depth Guide, noticing what has changed since the beginning of the season and which themes still feel meaningful to explore.
- To finish, you’ll be invited to review your Winter Self-Care list and adjust it for this new month, noticing what you would like to keep, remove, or explore more deeply.
The second Wave is especially important because it gives you the opportunity to see your process more clearly, notice what is genuinely supporting you, and better understand what may still need care, stability, or strengthening.
During Winter, this deeper exploration of the Root Chakra becomes even more meaningful because before thinking about growing, expanding, or beginning new movements, it can make sense to look at the foundations supporting all of that. What seemed important at the beginning of the season may have changed, new needs may have appeared, and you may notice that some areas need more rest, safety, structure, or nurturing.
By the end, you’ll have a new opportunity to look at yourself and strengthen your foundations, adjusting your self-care in a way that feels more aligned with the moment you are living.

Your 3rd Wave of Winter:
The third Wave of Winter is a wave of completion and the Interseason—that period of adaptation between one season and the next. It is recommended for August in the Southern Hemisphere or February in the Northern Hemisphere.
Here, Winter is already slowly beginning to move toward Spring. And you are also invited to look back at the path you have taken, integrate what you have learned, notice how your foundations are feeling, and truly experience this Interseason while caring for yourself throughout this period of adaptation.
The third Wave of Winter invites you to:
- Answer the final questions in the Winter Journal and reflect on the lessons and experiences of the season.
- Retake any of the quizzes you wish, reflect on the changes you have noticed, and adjust your self-care.
- Return once more to the themes of the Root Chakra and notice what has been strengthened throughout Winter, what may still need care, and which foundations you want to carry with you into the next cycle.
- Discover and understand the connections and themes related to the Interseason from Winter to Spring. Then, take the Interseason Quiz and notice how connected you feel with this moment. After that, open your list of Interseason Rituals and write down what you would like to include.
- To finish, you’ll find a complete Interseason Self-Care list to inspire you as you create or complete your own.
This final Wave also gives you a space to notice what you would like to carry with you from Winter: the foundations you have strengthened, what you have discovered about your needs, and what you would like to continue nurturing as a new movement begins.
And, instead of ending one season and beginning the next on autopilot, you can move through this transition with a little more presence and awareness of the moment you are living, allowing the energy of Spring to begin arriving little by little, supported by the foundations you cared for throughout Winter.

What Are the Affirmations & Guided Meditations for This Season?
In addition to the full journey through the 3 Waves, you’ll also have special audio practices, lovingly created and guided by me, to deepen and accompany your experience throughout the season.
For Winter, the included audio practices are:
- 1st Chakra Meditation ~ Root Chakra
Root Chakra ~ Grounding Meditation (Portuguese)
- Root Chakra ~ Gratitude for Your Body Meditation (Portuguese)
- New Moon ~ Welcoming Meditation (Portuguese)
- Guided Affirmations for: the Root Chakra & the Menstrual Phase (English & Portuguese)
(All audio content in Portuguese includes subtitles in English, Spanish, and Italian.)
These are short audio practices that you can use as little pauses within your routine, to support a theme you may be exploring or simply whenever you feel like turning your attention gently back toward yourself, throughout the entire year and whenever you wish.
Yes, There’s Still a Special Bonus for You!
Our connection with the themes of the seasons is explored in depth throughout the Waves, as are our own inner experiences during them. But, as women, whether we menstruate or not, we also experience our own monthly inner changes, whether through our connection with the menstrual cycle or through the way the phases of the Moon may be reflected in our inner experience (whether we menstruate or not).
That is why these two bonuses are included with the individual seasons: so that you can observe, follow, feel, and care for your inner cycles month by month, throughout the entire year. They are:
- Cyclical Self-Care Journal: created to help you connect with your menstrual cycle. For each phase, it includes: an introduction, connections, characteristics, self-care suggestions, 3 reflective questions, daily check-in pages, and a phase-transition ritual. All phases of the cycle are included. ~ 67 interactive pages in total
- Lunar Self-Care Journal: created to help you connect with the phases of the Moon (whether you menstruate or not). For each phase, it includes: an introduction, connections, characteristics, self-care suggestions, 4 reflective questions, 1 daily check-in page for each day, and a phase-transition ritual for each phase of the lunar cycle. All phases are included. ~ 64 interactive pages in total
Interactive pages mean that you can write your observations directly in the PDF and save them there. The Waves and journals work this way too, which makes it much easier to keep everything organized.

What Are the Most Common Questions?
One of the first questions people often have is:
“But what if I’m already in the second or third month of the season? Is it still worth starting?”
And the answer is yes, for a few reasons:
- You can still understand the season and the moment you are living, make the adjustments that are possible, and explore those themes right now. And any self-care practice or reflection you experience may also help prepare you for the next season in some way.
- You can begin by understanding your inner cycles more deeply with the Cyclical and Lunar Self-Care Journals.
- The cycle phase and chakras that are the focus of this season are with you throughout the entire year, so you can continue exploring this connection and balance for as long as you wish.
- You can also use the meditations and affirmations throughout the entire year.
- You’ll have access for 15 months, which means you can experience the season twice during your access period.
- It can also be a starting point for exploring all four seasons. If you enjoy the experience, you can later upgrade to the complete collection with an additional bonus at a special price inside the platform.
- And if it isn’t right for you, you have a 15-day guarantee to try it out.
So, even if you discover the Waves when Winter is already underway, you don’t need to wait an entire year to begin… you can start exactly where you are.
Other common questions are about the platform, support, updates, payment options, and our program supporting social projects. So I’ll answer them briefly here:
- All of the Waves are hosted on the Hotmart platform, which manages your access, payments, and any refunds.
- You’ll have email support for any technical questions during your access period, and you’ll also receive any updates released during that time.
- Payment methods may vary depending on your country and the options available through Hotmart. The base price is set in US dollars (USD), and at checkout Hotmart may display the equivalent amount in your local currency, depending on your location.
- Every time someone purchases a Wave, part of the amount is directed to a social project through the Hotmart One program. Each Wave supports a different project, as another way we have found to contribute to a better world.
These are the main questions, but if you have any others, you’ll find a WhatsApp icon here in the corner of the page.
